The word “Liposomal” seems to be somewhat of a buzzword recently and for a very good reason! Because of its liposomal delivery and excellent absorption rates, liposomal vitamin C is far more superior than its predecessor. Traditional supplements are becoming a thing of the past and making way for this exciting liposomal technology. It’s trulyrevolutionizing the way we take vitamins

Let's have a look

What are liposomes?

Liposomes arehollow spherical vesiclesso tiny they are invisible to the naked eye. They are made out of the same fat cells (phospholipids) in our body and have a highly protective double-layer membrane. This protects the vitamin C from digestion and oxidation.Since the small intestine absorbs the vast majority of nutrients,it is essential that the vitamin C gets there in one piece.

Why are liposomes so effective?

Liposomes have a very effective method of delivery compared to regular vitamin C which has been shown to have lower absorption rates (citation)  due to the vitamin c being broken down too early!! These liposomes go through the stomach's hostile environment, preserving the nutrients and delivering them to the small intestine where they can be fully absorbed. (Over 90% in our formula)

What ingredients should you look for in a quality liposomal formula?

Sunflower lecithin is a type of phospholipid that is found in sunflower seeds. It’s used to create liposomes helping your body absorb vitamin c more effectively. The NON-GMO Phosphatidylcholine in our formula is crucial for liposome formation & ensures bio-availability.

Fortunately, our formulacombines ascorbic acid & palmitic acid to generate ester Ascorbyl palmitate, a fat-soluble form of Vitamin C. When combined with sunflower lecithin, the capsule creates a natural liposomal environment which leads to enhanced absorption. It’s worth mentioning that not all liposomal vitamin C formulations are made equal.

Now let's look at the difference between traditional vitamin C and Liposomal vitamin C…...

What Is The Difference Between Traditional and Liposomal Vitamin C?

There are many differences between traditional Vitamin C and Vitamin C liposomal but the key distinction is their bioavailability.

Unfortunately,  vitamin C is poorly absorbed by the gut, with absorption rates ranging from 10% to 20%. The good news is that our Liposomal vit C is coated with essential phospholipids which makes it much more Bioavailable.Liposomal vitamin c is absorbed through the lymphatic system similarly to dietary fats and has an estimated 95 percent efficiency.
